This brief is a continuation of the brief me, Max and Yaf collaborated on in the first module of this year. It soon became clear to us that font construction does not take a matter of weeks but instead usually spans months and even years. During the Inpress event, Ben from Beautiful Meme gave us some insightful advice in terms of font design.
We will take this into consideration and ensure we create a thoroughly developed and well researched typeface accompanied by print and web deliverables including a type specimen and blog. We will hopefully go on to build this typeface to ultimately sell alongside our prints and type specimen/s.
Why I / we have chosen his brief
Font design — I want to explore font design and construction in more depth, looking in-depth at type anatomy to ensure our font is thoroughly investigated.
Collaboration — Our collaboration worked well within the OUGD301 module as we all had a clear direction of where the project was heading.
